Markets, consumer confidence, Trump approval all improve as he lies about tariff deals. Meanwhile we are left
with at least 10% tariffs to pay forevermore, inflation, loss of trust with other nations, and devastating cuts to essential safety nets.

In other words, Trump is winning the messaging war and is getting away with leaving nearly all of us in a much worse position, and he is in a stronger position to implement attacks on our democracy and our basic human rights.

Other than hoping for a recession, how do Democrats get the message through that Trump is bad for the economy and bad for most Americans ?

They absolutely do not like the fact that what Trump is doing is working and they will do their damndest to stop it, if they can.  They will burn it all down to prove themselves right.

Here are a couple of posts that probably won't be there by the time I post this thread.

This is sick…those that can least afford it suffer the most during downturns in the economy. Do you really want that?

The mental illness in this place is getting worse by the day. People hoping for suffering of others., those gaslighting others that Biden was the “best president of my lifetime and had a cold at the debate”, etc. Trump not only broke the Democratic Party for decades, he made the crazies here go insane. Cheers…

Yup, let's do everything we can to tank the progress.  That makes a lot of sense.  You have stuff that's actually working and they don't like it.  Will find every excuse to say it's not even when presented with the facts.

Jeeze.

That is way too much truth for DU.
"Be not intimidated... nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties by any pretense of politeness, delicacy, or decency. These, as they are often used, are but three different names for hypocrisy, chicanery and cowardice." - John Adams

Hillary Clinton will never be the President of the United States.

The only answer to the success of the economy under President Trump is to have a "shadow cabinet" that will fight to go back to 15%+ inflation, $6 gas, sky high utility rates, and forced experimental medical injections.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

You could start by questioning your assumptions about Trump and the economy.

Maybe DU-Folk should get off their overly-substantial @$$#$ and send out search parties for the missing inflation and recession that Bogey-Trump obviously has abducted! :rotf:

They say “Other than hoping for a recession”, as if they think that should be their natural response to this situation.

Reality (= monthly auto-deposits and checks) is forcing DU-Chicken-Littles to abandon their Musk-is-stealing-my-Social-Security hysteria. How long before DUpipo have to move on from their Trumpflation and Trump-Recession prophecies?
