Trump to severe all remaining ties with Harvard.. number one university in the world
Crazy!!!

Trump Intends to Cancel All Federal Funds Directed at Harvard
A letter to federal agencies will instruct them to end contracts, totaling about $100 million. It is meant to sever the government’s remaining ties with Harvard

The Trump administration is set to cancel the federal government’s remaining federal contracts with Harvard University — worth an estimated $100 million, according to a letter that is being sent to federal agencies on Tuesday. The letter also instructs agencies to “find alternative vendors” for future services.

The additional planned cuts, outlined in a draft of the letter obtained by The New York Times, represented what an administration official called a complete severance of the government’s longstanding business relationship with Harvard.

The letter is the latest example of the Trump administration’s determination to bring Harvard — arguably the country’s most elite and culturally dominant university — to its knees, by undermining its financial health and global influence. Since last month, the administration has frozen about $3.2 billion in grants and contracts with Harvard. And it has tried to halt the university’s ability to enroll international students.

There are some interesting posts, but I liked these.

Women are outpacing men in colleges and universities, and Trump’s antiques are a retribution against the increase presence of women in post secondary education.

They have a strange way of defining "education."  To me education is learning.  I don't care if it's quantum physics, chemistry, or the trades, it's all education.

I fervently hope that Harvard researchers make some miracle medical breakthrough on curing some awful ailment that ends up striking most of the Trump family and their administration, and then makes sure that treatment gets withheld from them.

Ugh! Yes, it HAS come to that! Congratulations, Melania, I finally do NOT care.

Don't change, DFW. No matter what dimdonnie does to make us hate him and all he stands for -- you are a good man.

Trump and his family are destined for the same garbage mound of history under which all they strive for lies.

The three generations of my family DID graduate from Harvard. That was for real.

And I was only partially playing evil onion. Even I have my limits. My sister once had a minimally paying gig playing a cartoon character for some ghetto kids from NJ. Surprise cameo guest of honor was a pre-candidate Donald Trump. He flew in to the fairgrounds on a helicopter. He told the ghetto kids, who probably had no idea who he was, other than that he was rich, “you work hard, and some day, you’ll be rich and have your own helicopter like me.” Whereupon, he turned around, got back into his helicopter, and flew off. He could have created a lot less ill will by never showing up at all.

I'm so old I remember when Bob Jones University's tax exempt status was revoked for their racial discrimination. Harvard has lost a civil lawsuit for discriminating against Asian people in admissions and is discriminating against and supporting violence against Jews. Why is racial discrimination OK for Harvard but wrong for BJU?

Please, please, please ask your plumber and electrician (who may earn close to or greater than six figures) why they chose to be a "slave".

What valleyrogue calls "outpacing" is actually men choosing other education and career paths.

Time to clean out your :stoner: :stoner: :stoner: (all of them), DFW. Harvard's racial discrimination, if continued, will all but guarantee that Harvard's med school and research will decline significantly in quality.

Yesterday, Harvard revoked the tenure of a well-known researcher named Francesca Gino who studies ethics and honesty. Ironically, she has been accused of fabricating data. This is the first time Harvard has stripped a professor of tenure in 80 years.

Irony, thy name is DU.

I love the standard "no federal money means 'fill in the blank' is ending" screeeeeing. Harvard is 150 years older that our country, another 15 or so (math ain't my strong suit) years older than our present federal government, and I'll wager has only been taking federal money for a fraction of that existence.  Moonbats think everything is dependent on the government just because they are.

I wish someone would.

I don't know if Barron wanted to go to Harvard. I don't care, either. I know that this is feeding some petty grievance Trump has (maybe he himself couldn't get in). Does it really matter what the grievance is? We know it's something.

Great mind readers, they are.  They know something.  No idea what it is, don't even care what it is, but they know it.   :mental:

My take on this reply was different.  I don't understand why this person thinks the trades favor men.  Women can get into the trades as well.  There's nothing stopping them and some of them perform quite well.  I've worked beside a couple of women welders in the field years ago and they were good welders.  They couldn't do a lot of stuff that the men were doing, like carrying a full sized oxygen bottle across the job site, but they could weld.

I thought they wanted to be treated as equals.  I say, "come on in, the waters great!"  You'll either swim or you will sink.

I keep hearing about NPR and PBS losing their funding.  Just a few short months ago they said their federal money was next to nothing.  Not a blip on the radar.  Then they changed it to the federal funds are 0.0001% of the federal budget.  NOW they're taking the Trump administration to court saying he's violating their first amendment right!

Wow, that escalated quickly.

I argued with a lady on LinkedIn who claimed to work for NPR and she flat told me NPR didn't receive ANY federal funds.  I showed her the language on NPR's website about federal funding and she said "that money goes to PBS who pays NPR for programming ..."

She actually believed that NPR wasn't receiving federal funds because it washed through PBS first.  What an intelligent person.   :rotf:

* Our munchkins, among them, have 3 Bachelors degrees and the same number of AA degrees, gained with our assistance, one earned in an Asian country in the language of that country;

* Our munchkins, among them, have visited at least 19 countries across 4 continents, not including airline stopovers.

Stick your willfully ignorant stereotypes up your overly substantial @$$#$ and smoke 'em, DUmmies.

1. In real life, Trump has probably employed and worked with multiple trade school grads. He probably seeks out grads from certain trade schools (much as some employers recruit at DeVry University//Institute of Technology (e.g. a former employer that recruited an entire project team from DeVry KC and Phoenix).

2. In real life, Barron chose to attend NYU.

3. In real life, Trump chose to attend University of Pennsylvania, an Ivy League university.

They fail to grasp the point and first of all with the rampant antisemitism and it’s a fermenting ground for Jihad and racial and social unrest that federal funds should not be going there. They were worned to clean up their act and they refused to let them suffer the consequences. They have a multibillion-dollar endowment let the students and the alumni fork over the money to keep the lights on.
