Until Trump, I never imagined how fragile

and disposable our democracy could be.

Everything I was taught seems illusory.

1. I saw the Democracy cracking before Trump came along

Republicans could no longer win on ideas, so they decided to do away with democracy altogether rather than change their ideas.

Projection right there.

15. It's the 'winning' part isn't.

At some point republicans stop thinking about governing and started thinking about winning. Whatever that means to them. Winning became the end goal. Just like a football game or all the shows on tv that focused on winning. The Winner became the hero/heroine and the only important part, at the end, was that they won and they got the prize.

More protection.

Republicans aren't the ones deeming who their own candidate will be over the wishes of their constituents, nor are they the ones trying to import a new voter base, attempting to game the system by gaining seats through the presence of illegal alien invaders.

On top of that, dems are the ones on the '20' side of nearly every 80/20 issue, not republicans.

You're in denial, son.

Voters strongly agree with Republicans on immigration.

Voters overwhelmingly agree with Republicans on voter ID.

Voters trust Republicans more on the issue of the economy.

Voters generally do not like trade deals that favor other countries' interests over those of the U.S.

29 constitutional carry states.

38 stand-your-ground states.

Republicans have strong support on a number of issues.

after the revelations that have come out recently about biden's fragile mental and health status during his term as pretendsident and the very real possibility that an unelected and unaccountable shadow government was running the country behind the façade of biden you come on here and bemoan how fragile and disposable our democracy is?

This country will have a hard time getting things back to the way they should be as long as those on the left keep calling our country a Democracy. It's not a Democracy. Stupid asses must have failed Civics/Government/Social Studies classes in school

They all have a sad because even their left wing media heroes are having to admit Quid Pro Joe wasn’t up to the task and no one knows who was running our country!

With stories coming out that someone was making money issuing pardons using the auto-pen and stories that no one saw Joe for days/weeks at a time, their worldview is falling apart.

It’s killing their psyche.

Speaking of "fragile and disposable democracy" the DNC is getting ready to undo their election for vice-chairs because they didn't like the results.  Which is hilarious for a multitude of reasons:

    1.  The basis for invalidating the previous election is that the DNC didn't follow their own DEI rules.

    2.  The DNC is really, really hoping that newly elected vice-chair David Hogg will not rewin his current seat because he ruffled some of the establishment's feathers.

    3.  The whole issue has them all trashing each other creating further divisions in the Dems.  And if Hogg does rewin his seat, accusations of racism and sexism will be getting thrown around at everyone in the DNC leadership.

    4.  Regardless of whether Hogg wins or loses, this issue has further alienated young voters who see this an attempt to force a youngster out of a position of leadership.  And they are all still mad about how Bernie was treated by the DNC in 2016.  And, of course, the whole Biden fiasco.  At the rate they are going, everyone 35 and younger is going to either be a Republican or Independent.

    5.  And the best part is, it is completely self-inflicted.  They couldn't handle an election that was about as complicated as voting for a High School Class President.  And the fallout is going to hurt them no matter who gets elected.

So many things the dems do, have an element of 'buy now, pay later' to them. The problem is, that the bill inevitably comes due. Typically, when the bill comes due they point the blaming finger at republicans, as responsibility and accountability to dems and modern leftists, are like crosses and holy water to vampires. They haven't that option to lean on this time.

They've served their present by sacrificing their future time and time again, and now, the future is here.

Democracy was much better off when we had unelected Jill Biden running the country.
