I've had a couple of emails since the first of the year in an exploratory fashion about IF they run, will we raise funds.

I'm slowing down. We won't have as many candidates to raise funds for as we did in 2024. We will limit our links to the House and Senate in purple (toss up) candidates.

Twice in three weeks, I have been asked in person by candidates for US Congress to help them raise funds on the DU. The DU is officially neutral, as these two will be squaring off in the primary for NE-2, the Blue Dot. I did tell Deniece Powell last night I had already done some promotional work for her on the DU. I posted her announcement she is running in LBN a month ago. See below. She mentioned she knew after talking to Tony Vargas we raised almost $44,000 for him.

And how well did all that fund raising go? If I remember Mr. Vargas was beaten in the last election (Again) so it would seem that it's not the money that is the problem but anyone with a D next to their name not having a message that most people want to hear or see enacted in Government in Nebraska.

He is correct that "the Word" is getting around about the DU. I have people almost daily, who I have mentioned DU to in the past, come up to me and thank me for pointing it out because it's become their go-to place to get a good laugh. Granted, their are a couple who chastised me for telling them about it, but that's only because they think that it's a very poor attempt at a parody site. Their words are along the lines of: there is no way that a group of people who are not institutionalized could really be so idiotic and out of touch with reality.

As for his "the DU is officially neutral" statement...well...as brainless, unthinking automatons, DU is whatever their overlords in the Party orders to them to be.

He's impressed by the fact that DU is known for giving money to every scam artist's GoFundMe and every zero-chance political candidate that's capable of setting up an Act Blue account.  I don't know that I'd brag about that.
