I just went to the grocery store and I checked the price of coffee. I usually buy it at 11.99 or 10.99 on sale. Today it was 15.49. So it looks like the tariff has taken hold, at least on coffee.

A smart business would bite the profit on coffee, in my opinion, because people would shop at their store for the price of coffee alone. It is much like gasoline. People will drive a hundred miles to save a dime on a gallon.

Being the fact-checking A-hole I am, I checked the prices of the coffee we buy, whole bean coffee, specifically Lavazza "Espresso". It's the same price we've been paying for several years, and the prices for Amazon "Fresh" and for Rogers Family "SF Bay" coffees are also unchanged. So, reality contradicts the DUmmie's claim, unsurprisingly.

Because I am tired of DUmmies posting bullshit, I went to the bother of looking at actual data, which is presented below. The massive increase in average coffee prices happened right after Biden (labeled 'Pedo Pete' on the graph, a nickname applied to Joe by his son) and is continuing into the early Trump 47 admin. I was unaware that tariffs were applied in the previous administration, DUmmies. Care to explain?

Doing some quick visual interpolation in that graph, coffee prices have increased during the current Trump Administration all of 70 or 80 cents, at approximately the same upward slope as in most of 2024.

Not that DU-Folk care about facts when facts contradict what DU-Folk want to be true.
