17-year-old Karmelo Anthony, accused of fatally stabbing fellow student Austin Metcalf during a Frisco, Texas, high school track meet, is now residing in a $900,000 rented home within a gated community and has reportedly purchased a new vehicle following his release on a significantly reduced bond.

Originally held on a $1 million bond, Anthony’s bail was reduced to $250,000 by a Republican Collin County judge, Judge Angela Tucker, allowing his release under house arrest with an ankle monitor.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that Anthony’s family revealed to use a portion of the $400,000 in online donations—originally raised for legal defense—to buy a new home and hire private security, citing “racist threats” they claim to have received following the fatal stabbing of Austin Metcalf.

The shocking revelation came during a court hearing in which Anthony’s bond was reduced from $1 million to $250,000 by Judge Angela Tucker of the 199th Judicial District Court, with only 10% required for his release.

Why is Karmelo Anthony even out? All that money is being spent on renting a house in a gated community.

The mother of Texas teen murder suspect Karmelo Anthony broke down in tears on Thursday over the death threats she claims her family has suffered and the “false information” about the family flooding social media.

Kayla Hays, the suspect’s mother, told reporters that her family has become the target of threats and that their lives have been disrupted by misinformation.

“In the wake of this tragic incident, our family has been under attack. Whatever you think happened between Carmelo and the Metcalf boy — my three other children, my husband and I — didn’t do anything to deserve to be threatened, harassed, and lied about,” she said, according to KWTX-TV.

“The lies and false accusations that have been said about us have been overwhelming, and the lies put our family in danger,” she continued.

Oh please. Kyle Rittenhouse killed Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz, two White rioters. Daniel Penny killed Jordan Neely, which is more of an indictment of the system.

Jeff Metcalf, the father of slain Frisco, Texas, track star Austin Metcalf, told Fox News Digital his home was swatted Thursday night.

"I can confirm that last night our officers responded to a gunshot call in the 8000 block of Hickory Street involving the Metcalf family, which turned out to be swatting," the Frisco Police Department (FPD) confirmed.

It happened a few hours after an incendiary press conference hosted by the spokesman for the family of Metcalf's alleged killer, Karmelo Anthony.

Anthony is charged with murdering Metcalf after the two 17-year-olds got into a dispute under a tent at a high school track meet April 2. Anthony allegedly stabbed Metcalf, who died in his twin brother's arms.

Mr Metcalf was in attendance at a press conference the Anthony’s held and their lawyer called him out and chastised him for being there!  Said he wasn’t invited and wasn’t welcome. Said that showed the character of their family.

Their attorney is an ass.

I don’t think the story about renting a new home or buying an Escalade is true though.

The lawyer's comparison to the Rittenhouse  case is ludicrous, and yet somehow predictable. The left's account of what happened in the Kenosha shootings has always been faulty, as is their grasp of the legal concept of self-defense. It's as if they think you either support all claims of self-defense or none.

Also, it seems they've never gotten over the fact that Rittenhouse was acquitted. He was like their prey.

What they’re up to here I think is trying this in the media and not in the court. They want the killer to somehow be a victim. It’s kind of curious that they could raise almost a half $1 million in a short time for a thug went to a high school track meet with a deadly weapon. This is cold, blooded murder because he went straight for the heart.

If you have no sense of context (common issue with immature and liberal minds) Rittenhouse went somewhere he didn't have to/should not have been, took a weapon he didn't have to/shouldn't have taken (very debatable in the Rittenhous case, clear cut rule violation in the stabbing), and defended himself (very debatable in the stabbing, based on available accounts, jury said Rittenhouse was self-defense).   But when one actually looks at both whole pictures (again, hard to do with immature and/or liberal minds), yeah, that's a stupid comparison.
