Tipping at a MAGA bar
Met a friend for a drink at a lounge near his home yesterday. Turned out their clientele were old men from the neighborhood who sit around a gripe about things.
There was a sign behind the bar: ”10% Tariff on all Canadian Whiskey and Tequila … Just kidding, but please buy American.”
I keep some Canadian coins in my car console since I travel there on occasion, so I left a tip - one Loonie (a Canadian dollar coin). Also left a note: “Next time I will tip one Peso. Just kidding, I won’t be coming back.”

My mentally ill sister who spends quite literally her whole day, every day, composing "I hate Trump" essays and posting to her facebook, spent a good portion of one of her essays yesterday explaining to her imaginary MAGA readers how SSI is funded and what that FICA deduction on our paycheck stubs really means.

My explanation would be much more brief. FICA is my $$$$ sent to DC, plus a matching amount paid by my employer instead of to me. The self-employed pay the whole amount. Interest. Free. People my age may or may not receive as much as they and their employers paid in (and many who would be my age did not live long enough to receive a dime).

Funniest bar sign I have ever seen was in Anchorage and it said "WE SCREW THE NEXT GUY AND PASS THE SAVINGS ON TO YOU."
