Sarah Palin makes me sick. I hate that she was able to steal Barack Obama's mojo just by showing up wearing rimless glasses and a skirt.

I hate that she makes Joe Biden look like John McCain and John McCain look like the maverick he is not.

I hate that Palin reminds me of Susan Sarandon's feisty character in "Thelma & Louise." I loved Sarandon in that movie, yet I couldn't stand Palin's feistiness at the Republican National Convention.

Palin's extreme views on abortion (she once said she would be against her daughter having an abortion even in the case of incest or rape) and her support of abstinence-only programs should make her a laughingstock to feminists.

Instead, she's a star.

That ought to be enough to make any true feminist sick.

It is the same as Clarence Thomas -- you can't be a representative of some "downtrodden" class -- you have to be a LIBERAL one.

I never understood why a new innocent life created due to rape or incest is any less deserving than any other unborn baby.  It is not the baby's fault how it was conceived.

Any person consistent in his belief will think ALL baby murdering is wrong.  I applaud anyone with the sense enough to stand up and say it.

I find it amusing that not wanting to kill any unborn children, regardless of the situation, is somehow a reason to put someone down.

I think we've missed their "rationale" on that stance...having children is a symbol of man's dominance over women.  In order to be a "liberated" woman, you have to keep your man in total control by aborting any kids you don't want.  (I didn't say it made sense...but this does seem to be one of their basic beliefs.   )

I guess I'm just not a "liberated" woman, despite having a job in a male-dominated field for 15 years now.

A real woman would put the innocent baby's life ahead of her own warped sense of "liberation". A real woman would either raise the baby (if she had the means) or give it up to loving family. But that's the grown up, difficult thing to do. That requires saying "to hell with the feminist propaganda" and we all know that isn't going to happen.

That's because she's a true feminist.  It seems to me that these days, "feminist" has come to mean a woman who denies her woman-ness as much as possible in order to try to better fit into a man's role.  That's not to say that women can't do the jobs men can.  They can, but these "feminists" function under some bizarre mentality that being everything a woman is hinders their ability to do so.  I'm really at a loss as to how this can be defined as feminism.

In another time, in another century, you might have well gotten away with this vitriol.  Your position as guardian of what should be said and unsaid would be secure, and your ideals would be safe from criticism.

But we're not there anymore.  You are not the sole source of information.  You are no longer, as they say, the only game in town.  And once people see what else is out there, you're left to your own devices, becoming ever more shrill and hateful because people have seen you for what you are, and found you wanting.  To quote Dylan, "Oh the times, they are a-changin'."  If only you would learn to change as well and look beyond your bile and hate, you might join us in a new day where we can truly be a great nation.  Reagan said it best when he used the phrase, "It's morning again in America."  It's a new day.  Wake up, or be left behind.
