Advertisements [?]That it will be a long time until we do again (

People don't like rooting for a losing team, and this will be the third time in a row. I'm afraid we will lose a lot of people because of this.

The south always goes for the republican, it always comes down to the same states, and the repubs know all the dirty tricks to take a close race and win it.

I feel like I'm living 2004 all over again... And Obama is a much stronger candidate than Kerry.

I know we still have the debates but Kerry kicked butt on the debates and Bush came off looking like a fool and he still won.

Obama deserves this presidency. Something needs to change. I can't believe it's even a close race and that anyone by watching McCain talk for more than 5 minutes thinks he would make a good president?

2. The Repubbies have caused so much damage since '68 that their continued "leadership"
...will guarantee that the U.S. falls completely apart -- those Alaskan secessionists may be on to something after all -- much sooner than later...

3. I think a loss would kill off the Dem party for awhile. African Americans have
been voting for white candidates and particularly white women candidates. Dems nominate a black candidate and the white democrats and particularly white women democrats flee. I think a loss will depress the black vote for a very long time.

Then the planning ...

20. there is one thing we could do
Edited on Sat Sep-13-08 06:12 PM by Two Americas
There is one very effective thing we could do, but for some strange reason it is "off the table."

We could demand that our leaders, our representatives, the politicians we give all of our time and money to, the people who are in a position to fight for our vote actually step up and fight for us.

But for some reason we are to be loyal to them first and foremost and above all, and that means asking nothing of them and holding them blameless, lest we create some negative thinking that would "help the Republicans." It is truly insane.

What is the point of supporting politicians who refuse to fight for us? What is the point of attacking anyone who dares to suggest that we should have any leverage over the politicians or that they should actually represent the people's interests?

All we ask of them is that they are "not Republicans" and we get angry with anyone who suggests we may want to stop with the adulation and servitude and start demanding anything else of them.

Historians or psychologists or someone in the future will have to sort this out - how the opposition to the right wing because so battered and traumatized, so weak and ineffective, so self-defeating, so complicit and cowardly. It is stunning to watch it happen yet again.

It worked in Poland and eastern block countries and it would work here.

What I can't grasp is that if so many of the DUmb****s are on welfare, what would a "general stirke" do?

Waaaait a sec.  Six things.

1)  Zero.

2)  Zip.

3)  Zilch.

4)  Nix.

5)  Nada.

6)  Null set.

Now I see.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

From reading their drivel it would appear that DUmmies can be divided into a couple of categories.

Those that claim to be astute and sucessful business owners...given island history doubt that is true.

That leaves those that don`t have any employment, those who claim minimum wage employment and those publicly employed.

Go ahead and strike,a fart from a Cape Buffalo on the coast of Africa will have more affect then you fools ever will.

But you guys are supposed to be SOOOooo much smarter than us. How can we be able to trick you (aka outsmart you) if you are so much more intelligent?

By the way, what exactly has Obama done to "deserve" this presidency?

The socialist democrat DUmmies have said exactly the same thing before every election since Reagan. The most effective thing they have ever done is "not one damn dime day", and you know how well that went.

Only one DUmmy accurately predicts how democrats will handle the post-election period, win or lose:

If it's close, there will probably be some community organizers looting a few liquor stores and burning buildings in their own neighborhood. Other than that, DUmmy leftofthedial has it nailed.

Oh Boy!!! Another nationwide protest.

The DUmmy's all but destroyed the UAW with their penchant for jap cars. What union would side with them?
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

How can they go on strike if they are leaving the country?

Now they've just proved that they're a bunch of commies. The Polish Solidarity movement held general work strikes to overthrow a communist government, the DUmmies want to do exactly the opposite and strike (as if many of them even work,LOL) to overthrow a democratically-elected government.
