I took Nyquil and then my son woke me up, ask me anything.......

He slammed the bathroom door and woke me up.  Nyquil makes my brain work weird.  I like it though because you can sleep so well while the rest of your body does all kinds of gross stuff with a cold.  Honestly, I could sleep through sneezes, coughs, and a runny nose but not the dang bathroom door.  The boy sleepwalks and I have to run to make sure he isn't peeing on the couch or walking outside when I hear late night noises.  Anyway, I am not sure what this guy is doing but that is how I feel right now......  :drunksailor:

Nyquil wipes me out.

And the waking to odd noises while sleeping through a trainwreck is a mom thing, I think.  I do the same thing.

I take it on my rare occasions of insomnia.  I hate it though because it just destroys my next day.  I'm gauranteed to sleep, but I can never sleep more then 6 hours.  Right at the 6 hour point, some weird total random noise that i'd never give a second thought to will always wake me up.

Then I spend the rest of the day feeling all druggy and just wanna go back to sleep but can't.  It's probably got something to do with the fact that I take absolutely no medication at all, so when I take it, it just wrecks my shit.

The great thing about it today is that after I get the kids off to school I can go back to bed!  WHOOO HOOOO!!!!!!  I have a whole bunch of things I have to do today but none of them require me to get up before noon. :tongue:

taking naps while the kids are in school is the highlight of my life!


i hope you feel better and i know what you mean about kids waking you up in the dead of night... it takes some time to fall back asleep after you get them settled.

i never hear it though.. my husband does all the late night running for the little one. i did the big kid  :-)

my canuckistani in laws swear if you put vicks vaporub on your feet and then put socks on, it will cure your cold.
