A conversation on X with Evangelical.
She told me Christ did not speak on immigrants I replied

Matthew 25-31-40.

Her reply Christ teaches us to obey our leaders.

I had to ask her.

Was that obeying our leaders like J-6 2020.

These evangelicals are not nice they are evil people they have to use a book (Bible) to give them a guide to in what they feel is correct.

The rest of us we just understand right and wrong.

31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

A text out of context is a pretext. Other than visiting lawbreakers in prison, the text is irrelevant to illegal immigrants. Unsurprisingly.

From Matthew 5:

Quote
17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Law of Moses both required proper treatment of "sojourners" and applied to them the basic laws of Israel (not the law concerning circumcision, but laws against theft, murder, sexual immorality, etc.). IOW, "sojourners" who declined to obey the laws of the land faced consequences.

From Romans 13:

Quote
Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. 7 Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

My emphasis. Believers are to honor and respect government, including government's laws, when those laws, "are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad".

They have no desire to understand the Bible because it convicts them too much.

Anytime I hear any of these leftist lunatics supporting letting illegals flood the country I want someone to ask them if they have a door on their home and does the door have a lock and do they ever lock it, but I'm sure they will prove to be hypocritical scum.

For new members and lurkers: I am a fictional spirit-guide with no smell whatsoever. I am part irish setter and part pigeon. If you don't smell any strange smells it means I'm probably standing next to you. As I am a fictional character anything I post should possibly be considered fictional.

If there was an actual conversation on X, there would be screencaps, like every other retelling of an X interaction.

      Lying assholes.

The OP is from Duncanpup/TEB. It's almost amazing he was sober enough to post something coherent.

I dont know what you mean I mean TEB is so articulate and never writes in jumbled runon sentences I mean what are you talking about
the guy has the most articulate prose ever so pithy and full of wit yet with stunning brevity that would impress Oscar Wilde I mean he's the
ideal pundit on X because his communication is so clear and in no way hints at severe drug addiction or anything like it I mean why would anyone
question anything he says he's like a fountain of insight and wit and we should all hang on his every superconnected manic word
