all concerned because Trump put a freeze on federal hiring. Oh my husband is retiring soon and trying to get a federal job. Or my husband was in the process of being hired and I’m so concerned. No sympathy. They should have been concerned before they voted for him. And yes..majority of them voted for him. 🙄 Now that it affects YOU, you are so concerned. Fine when he targets immigrants, other minorities and lgbtq. 🙄

You have to break eggs to make an omelette. The government is top heavy any they have to start somewhere. So for all of you affected learn to code. There’s going to be plenty of jobs in the private sector available under the Trump administration .

If you can walk and chew gum at the same time, the refinery I work for brings in operators "no experience necessary" (They don't want to have to "retrain" any bad habits you may have picked up.)

Of course you still have to pass a 10-panel whiz quiz and a FEDERAL background check (Homeland Security) - which means any leftist related to a DUmp'Rat is right out, before they even apply...

So the only job someone can get is a federal job? I thought that the spectacular Biden economy was creating oodles of jobs.

A hiring freeze? Like normal civilian companies occasionally do? Horrors! I've been at at least one company that had a freeze and was laying people off. I've had at least two companies with which I was well into the hiring process stop the process due to a newly imposed freeze. Welcome to the normal civilian world, helpisontheway's Prog-vets if you actually exist and are complaining about Trump's temporary hiring freeze. IRL, I think even lifers understand the civilian jobs market better than helpisontheway's post claims.

IRL, Trump's freeze will be temporary, and it looks like Trump's Administration will be making plenty of room for people with skills and a good work ethic, in the pretty near future.
