We are safe with our pupper.
Our golden is plagued with allergies, so we will be trying some different foods. As it turns out, there are as many different based foods as there are animals in the animal kingdom. I was surprised to find out there was a kangaroo-based dog food. I can't wait to find out how much that will cost.
She is the most expensive backyard-breeder pup in the world. Ah what we won't do for our pets... 
Those greyhounds are expensive, too. They don't have their AKC registration, rather are NGA (national greyhound association---designation for racing greys). The folks with the AKC greys look down their nose at the running hounds.
What foods are you using, Schade? I've had really good luck with that Hill's I/D food, both cans and kibble. It's expensive from the vet, but Blue's very skinny and has never had a hearty appetite.
I figured it was cheaper keeping his system healthy and him happy than it was buying all the carpet cleaner for when his tummy was upset.
The spoiled boy has his generic version of Pepcid 10-15 minutes before dinner, then his I/D food. I'm sure it's really bland, but the two females, Xena and Darlene, keep trying to steal it.
