Barack Obama's adviser assures Democrats, 'we have a plan'
« on: September 13, 2008, 04:47:11 AM »
Quote
Senator Barack Obama's campaign manager, David Plouffe, has responded to Democrats nervous about the Republicans' narrow lead in the polls, describing them as engaging in "hand-wringing and bed-wetting" and reassuring them that he had "a game plan and a strategy".
While he was reluctant openly to address the issue of Senator John McCain's age – at 72 he would be the oldest president ever first elected – a hard-hitting television advertisement from the Obama campaign made no bones about portraying him as from another era.

Just another story on the 'email' ad, but I thought the intro was funny.

In the old TV series "Blackadder" didn't Blackadders assistant Boldrick always say "He had a clever plan"?

bed wetting ... I love it !
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.

BO is the self-proclaimed most clever man to ever exist, just like Hillary is the most brilliant woman in America. You can see where that got her.  :-)

BHO should have stuck with guest lecturing and writing books about himself.  It would keep peiople looknig at him and allow him to practice his narcissism.

It was "a cunning plan," but otherwise yes.

Wasn't Reagan only a year younger than McCain? I like how they leave that out. Of course the Ooooobama camp isn't going to even let the name "Reagan" cross their lips. :-)

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Sounds like a plan to me.   :loser:

I believe that this has been tried before--in 1912, when Captain Edward Smith tried this, it was "rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic."  (Yeah, I know that he didn't actually do this, but I thought the analogy was too good to let pass.)
