The real reason for the gas price spike: Next week's House vote on drilling
http://poynter.org/column.asp?id=2&aid=150428

... At 3:05 p.m. EDT, lines are reported to be forming at Florida gas stations where prices have skyrocketed to more than $5 a gallon.

WTSP, TampaBay's 10 reported: Regular unleaded gasoline is selling for $5.49 a gallon in Tallahassee and lines are forming at stations still selling cheaper gas, matching reports elsewhere in the state.

... If prices spike, as they appear ready to do, it will come just days before the U.S. House of Representatives could vote on expanding oil drilling along virtually all coastlines. The timing could not be better for those who back drilling. They will no doubt argue that being less reliant on any one source of oil will stabilize prices, although production from new wells would be years away.

4. Bingo - I've heard this over and over again, but these idiots don't have a clue
ITS THE GOD DAMNED REFINERIES, NOT THE DRILLING, THATS CAUSING THIS.

Sorry, just a little pissed about this. Shock Doctrine in all of its glory - rich get richer and the GOP gets a win.

I swear, even after all these years, I am still amazed at that magnificent bastard.

Just as long as the tracking number of the hurricane was deleted before launching.. That almost got us in trouble a few years back with Hurricane Wilma.  :thatsright:

It reminds me of that song Heat Miser in I think it was from the movie A Year Without Santa Clause <Rove singing>... "I'm Mr. Storm Miser, I'm Mr. Flood.  I'm Mr.Destruction, I'm hear to sling the mud.  Dems call me evil bastard, when I walk in the room, I usually cause a big boom, gloom and doom, doo doo doo doom".  He is a magnificent bastard.

I love Heat Miser and Cold Miser!  Actually, it was an old Christmas special.  I think it was played a couple of years ago.

For the lyrical ability, H5!  The only thing I don't like about that is that I didn't come up with it.

Actually, I can't take credit for it.  I read what the DUmmies were saying to my wife and told her about the Song it reminded me of, she started singing it.  I knew there was another reason I married her, :cheersmate:

There ain't enough tinfoil in the world to cover that kind of stupid.
