It seems the left never learned the lesson regarding Russia that Napoleon and Hitler found out about too late. Russia can be contained, but you don’t do it by actively threatening them. There a distinct difference between deterrence from mutual assured destruction and what missiles at the doorstep of Moscow would mean.
