Cotton Picking Texts

Has anyone seen the stories about black folks getting texts? Texts like this:

"You have been selected to pick cotton at the nearest plantation starting 11/07/2024. Please Be ready at 8am SHARP! with your belongings. Our executive slave catchers pick you up in a brown van, be prepared to be searched once you've entered the plantation. You are in Plantation group 7."

A FB Friend (running community) posted about this, basically tarring every American with this supposed racist text. I called out the racism of tarring >300 million people with the texts and questioned if she had evidence the texts were not false-flag or fake hate-crimes/incident.

I hate saying this, but this, from the linked article, strongly suggests to me the possibility it is a faux hate-crime/incident:

Read the breathless reporting at the WaPo, NYT, NBC, CNN that this was happening. Me thinks it was orchestrated by SPLC or one of those Soros funded groups.

While it could be someone who feels emboldened after the election to act out, it could just as easily be someone upset about the election wanting to give the incoming administration a black eye.

Either way, it's a stupid hoax. Besides, there's no way that everyone can be in Plantation group 7. Some need to be in groups 1-6 and 8-20.

I would not put it past NAACP people. Maybe not officially approved, maybe "just" some staffer. The demand for racism is vastly greater than the supply of real racism, so counterfeits are created to bridge that chasm.

I, too, figure it is being done by some left leaning group to say "See! We told you they are racist!". I figure that if law enforcement does indeed look into it and affirms that it is from the left that it will quietly go away.
