We got in line at 6:45-6:50 to cast our votes in our little hamlet. By the time I signed in we were approaching 100 voters.

While in line, I heard one of the poll workers make a joke about voting so I figured I'd have some fun.

I was escorted over to the machine, was given instructions on how to use it, and was told to take my ballot to be read by the scanner. I softly whispered "scanner? You mean the shredder over there?" The very nice woman looked at me with shock and horror then saw the shit-eating grin on my face and gave me a wink.

So I took my ballot over to the poll worker whose joke I overheard earlier and I asked " this is where we shred the ballots?" He started laughing immediately. I said I heard you say "it sure sounds like a shredder" so I figured I'd give you the business.

He was still laughing when I walked out the door.

This was thread-worthy? Could I post about my 50- or 60-yard walk to the ballot receptacle, blaming every crack in the street and sidewalk on Dem San Jose mayors and city council members who didn't take proper care of infrastructure?
