DU Questions Trump's Disaster Relief Efforts

Should Trump be holding rallies while another major hurricane hits his home state of FLA?
I think that it's inappropriate to be doing rallies in Coachella and NYC while his fellow Floridians dig themselves out of the aftermath of Milton.

What exactly should Trump, a private citizen, be doing to facilitate the Government's response to Hurricane Milton?  Outside of contributing money to help out (which he supposedly has done), he has no authority to do anything.  VP Harris can however do something about the Government's response.  So where is she?  Doing a Howard Stern interview.  Biden could be leading the recovery effort.  But where is he?  No one will say, but they won't say that he's not home sleeping on his couch in Delaware.

Only one DUmmy acknowledges that Trump has no ability to control the federal response:

4. He's not in any position to do anything about it.

Regardless of whether he's in the state or not. He has no authority.

And the response is even stupider than the OP.

7. He could've flown people out in his plane.

He could show sympathy.

So, he was supposed to fly 2 or 3 million people out on his one plane.  Brilliant idea.  And if evacuating the area using aircraft is so plausible, why didn't the federal government do it?  I seem to recall that the military has some planes.  And we have lots of passenger planes under contract for MAC flights.  Maybe they didn't go that route because it wouldn't work.  And as far as showing sympathy and being a presence in a disaster area, Trump showed up in Georgia to support the victims of Helene while Harris and Biden were still hemming and hawing about making any trip to the affected areas.  While Trump was visiting with the people on the ground, Harris was fundraising in California.  Both Harris and Biden had to be shamed to commit to actually visiting the impacted states.  If they want to convince people that their response to these hurricanes has been stellar, they need to come up with new talking points.

Yeah, I thought that whole thread was weird.  Criticizing Trump for a lack of response while Kamala was in Vegas, Joe was on the beach for Helene, and now for Milton, No Joe has become a thing, and Kamala is drinking beer and cackling with Colbert ...

Ted Cruz went to Cancun during a freak ice storm in Texas and was castigated for it.  Trump spent 4 days trying to get to Puerto Rico and brought supplies with him that the democrat operatives on the island HID from those who needed them for 3 YEARS.

Keep it up DUmmies.  You're just proving us right.

For argument's sake, let's say that as soon as the projected path of the storm was given that Trump begin offering free flights in his private aircraft ferrying people away from the danger area AND put all of the people up in his hotels for free. Who wants to bet that the main response from the DUmp would be condemning him and saying that his flying everyone around in private aircraft is what is destroying the environment and causing all of the hurricanes. Of course, I'm sure a few would say that him putting up American citizens in his hotels instead of illegal criminals "new comers" shows that he's xenophobic.

1. Should VP Harris be holding campaign rallies instead of being in WashDC assisting with Federal relief efforts?

2. Trump and Musk facilitated the StarLink comms for North Carolina that the Feds had previously declined. Where was Kackle-a ... more specifically, where was she holding rallies when Helene hit?

3. Biden, Harris, and Trump should all stay well away from FL, so as not to impede emergency efforts. However, that DU-member Yavin4 is ignorant of Trump contributing to emergency and relief efforts if FL does not mean they are not happening or in process.

They're probably still finding rotting and biology-experiment caches of relief supplies Trump provided and Dem pols in Puerto Rico stashed away from the people who needed the stuff.
