I semi woke this morning to a knock on my door
I thought, oh crap, the guys are here to get this junk out of the way.300 bucks gone.

No, it was just my neighbors, they cleaned my camper,
Took all the big stuff out from , MrsK, and LilBit, when they died.
And even my garbage bag!
My camper is clear.

They are magas, but they are neighbors,
We are Dems, we tend to suffer. We

Well , I'm home, and the only people, who heard my cries, were MAGAS,

Mules are being used to carry supplies into western North Carolina
After Helene isolated western North Carolina communities with landslides, flash flooding and road damage, good Samaritans have had to find creative ways to bring in much-needed supplies.

In addition to aircraft drops by military and civilian pilots, mule packers are using the animals to walk supplies into mountainous communities.

"Mules and equipment are loaded, and the first big batch of supplies has been purchased and loaded," the Mountain Mule Packer Ranch posted on Facebook Monday. "We have two fully loaded trucks and 20' stock trailers heading to WNC for assistance!"

"We will be setting up a staging area and beginning to assist this afternoon," they wrote on Monday, "and will be bringing up additional loads of supplies once mules are in place!"

The Mountain Mule Packer Ranch partnered with the Cajun Navy, another group of civilian volunteers, to deliver insulin to a family on Monday, according to their Facebook posts.

8. My daughters best friend asked for help

and said her friend in NC was volunteering where she lived and needed supplies from Amazon sent to her to bring. I ordered a bunch of them and they got there yesterday. I assume she is not in a disaster area but close enough to help out.

I love how we all come together but wish it didn't take bad things. This is my republican daughter and her best friend is major maga. She knows I am very progressive and doesn't really like me, I wanted to show her that my side has kindness to all. I could have donated anywhere but purposely did through her Amazon link.

So, the compelling reason for her to contribute was to try to score some sort of political point.  Not to help out people in distress, but to "show her that my side has kindness to all".  Her side isn't Americans, it's Democrats.  They can't fathom that most of us help out people in need without first checking their voting records.

Former Obama adviser David Axelrod implied that “liberal voters” in Asheville, North Carolina, would “figure a way to vote,” despite the damage from Hurricane Helene, while Trump voters would not.

During an episode of the podcast Hacks on Tap, Axelrod spoke about Hurricane Helene and how places such as Asheville, in western North Carolina, had been affected by heavy rainfall and flooding, noting that there was “a lot of displacement” as a result.

“Here’s my question about North Carolina, you had these killer storms, which by the way was a third big story this week,” Axelrod said. “And, there’s a lot of displacement in western North Carolina. Now, Asheville is a blue dot.”

Axelrod continued to describe the voters in Asheville as being “upscale, kind of liberal voters” who would “figure out a way to vote.”

“I’m not sure a bunch of these folks who had their homes and lives destroyed elsewhere in western North Carolina — in the mountains there — are going to be as easy to wrangle for the Trump campaign,” Axelrod added.

Yeah, I've never figured that one out. I guess none of those without an ID buy cigarettes, alcohol, draw social security, or a host of other things that require an ID. I'd have a tiny bit more respect for the dems if they'd just be honest and admit that they don't like IDs because they make gaming the vote more difficult.
