This campaign has been ugly at least since Democrats were plotting and planning and pitching to impeach Trump before he was even inaugurated the first time.  It's been ugly during Trump's term when he was fighting obstructionists across the parties and fighting impeachment proceedings.  It's been ugly throughout Biden's term, when everything bad was Trump's fault.  It's been ugly with all the lawfare thrown at Trump to try and keep him from running and keep him off ballots. 

I'm not some MAGA or Trump-humper by any stretch, but it's very disingenuous to try and paint the all out political and media war against the man as anything but ugly.
