Donald Trump’s ear that was injured in July’s assassination attempt appears to be just fine after all—at least according to a reporter who had an unusually intimate encounter with it.
New York Magazine reported Monday that, in a sit-down interview at Mar-a-Lago, the journalist Olivia Nuzzi got a very detailed look at Trump’s right ear—the one he infamously bandaged up for the RNC—and declared that it appeared to be “normal” and “fine.”
“An ear had never appeared to have gone through less,” wrote Nuzzi.
Nuzzi visited Trump’s Florida estate in early August. It had been less than a month since he nearly escaped death at his Pennsylvania rally on July 13.

Even the DUmmies picked up on the sentence saying that "he nearly escaped death". These are the writers they go to for their brilliance and truth telling.

I can believe it. I saw one grainy picture that is alleged to have been his ear. It had a tiny, and I mean tiny, spot that could have been damage. You'd get more scratching a pimple (which may have been what he'd done). Hardly any blood on his face when he stood up.
Yeah. I still don't believe this was a real thing, a bullet that close? No one is that lucky. Some of his audience surely wasn't. And he lies about everything. Like my drug addict sister, who lies when telling the truth would get her what she wants.
The wound on his ear, which is clearly visible on the video and stills taken in real time, was nothing but a popped pimple.

faked it. I thought it was fishy at the time, but I hadn't thought of his connection to entertsinment wrestlers.
Or he cut himself, even though his ear was bleeding before he put his hand up to touch it.

There were bullets obviously flying around, but Cantaloupe Caligula the Corpulent wasn’t hit by a bullet, or shrapnel. The guy you responded to is merely speculating about what happened and where the blood came from.
Personally, seeing as his ear had NO damage (a rifle bullet would have torn it off, or left some other obvious injury), I’m thinking that it might have been blood spatter from one of the people behind Caligula when they were hit by bullets meant for the Apricot Antichrist.
Lots of hate there. I hope the RN in her username doesn't stand for Registered Nurse.

The writer's attempt to sound intelligent crosses way over the line into pretentious assholery bordering on a satire of a pretentious asshole. Here's a few of the paragraphs discussing Trump's ear:

Isolated from the head and all that roils therein, and to which it is, famously and miraculously, still attached, you have to admit, if you can: It is beautiful. An ear had never before represented the divide between the organic course of American history and an alternate timeline on which the democratic process was corrupted by an aberrant act of violence as it had not been in more than half a century. Yet an ear had never appeared to have gone through less. Except there, on the tiniest patch of this tiny sculpture of skin, a minor distortion that resembled not a crucifixion wound but the distant aftermath of a sunburn.

The picture of his ear, which in included in the article, clearly shows a small scar on his ear completely consistent with the pictures of his original wound. A small grazing wound on his ear yielded a small scar on his ear. Not a whole lot of conspiracy to be seen here.
And that pathetic prose that I quoted goes on for several thousand more words and never gets any better. Yet another journalism major armed with a dictionary and a thesaurus who can't assemble a coherent thought and thinks that quantity of words equals quality of written work. For giggles I looked up the author and found that she dropped out of college trying to get a job on Hillary Clinton's campaign and has since then bounced around various publications as a "political writer". No doubt she has tens of thousands of dollars in student loans that she's hoping Biden will make disappear.
