So the problem caused by Palin isn't really about Palin - it's about Obama.

Which brings me to the third point. Obama cannot change how Palin is seen anywhere near as much as he thinks he can. He needs to work on how he is seen.

Excellent article and excellent analysis.

I am sleeping so much better these days, knowing that McCain/Palin is in and the socialists have lost again.  And knowing that Jindal is in the wings (and wisely building his chops) and he will be Palin's VP (and then HE will be President) warms the cockles of my heart.

The democrats should now worry about their control of Congress -- the Presidency is pretty much given to McCain.

if the mere announcement of an opposing VP candidate can rattle him so badly, I shudder to think what a terrorist attack under a hypothetical obama administration would do to him . . .

This is the first time I have thought that McCain really does have a chance. I figured with the way the media has beatified St Obama it was pretty much over. But even with the mud slinging and bile from journalists and the rest of the media everyday people are seeing thru it and it is, to say the least, making life difficult for St Obama. Im still not a McCain fan and hate his open borders policies....but I suspect that Palin will play much more than the traditional ceremonial role of VP.

she should, since, should mccain win, it will only be because she single handedly saved him.

She's taking away his celebrity and "first time" status, and McCain has him beat on, um, actually being prepared to be president. What, now, does he have to work with that will sway middle America?

good point.  there was hope, healing, and unity, until he turned into "Slash and burn Obama" . . . . so that's out.  he tried "I will inspire the country" a few times tonight during the fox discussion forum . . . I see a teaser on drudge that they are planning a "sharper tack" . . . that already isn't working.

huh.  what does he have left?  whining white liberal guilt?

I think it's hilarious. He put all of his eggs in the "let's throw the establishment (old white guys) out and CHANGE Washington" only to turn around and add a Washington vetern who is....drumroll....an old white guy with 30+ years under his belt and a lackluster record that doesn't include "Change". Meanwhile the GOP ticket adds Palin. You can't write better material. :-)
