"One thing was made pretty clear during this week's Democratic Convention. If you are a Republican who is tired of all the lies, hate and division your leader spouts, if you are tired of your military service being belittled, if you want to continue to live in a democratic Republic rather than in an autocracy, please feel free to enter our inclusive tent for just this year. We don't expect you to like all our political stances. Voting with us this time won't make you a Democrat. It will simply show that you are a patriot who puts our country over party."

If you're tired of Republican lies come to us so you can be lied to about things that you can clearly tell are lies while, at the same time, you're paying more for groceries, gas, and etc. If you want to live in a democratic republic rather than in an autocracy, you should think twice about coming to the party that just installed a candidate without a vote. Please feel free to enter our non-inclusive tent where we'll call you Hitler if you dare to disagree with any nutty idea the party puts forth. Oh, and if you're tired of your military service being belittled, you need to stay where you are because, unless you lie about your service, you will be appreciated, but if you come over here you'll be coming to the side that has referred to our military as "baby killers".

No, sorry. I cannot reconcile voting for Harris with the idea of putting country first. As with Biden before her, I didn't expect to find Harris' performance as Vice-President satisfactory, or to agree with much of her platform. And as with Biden before her, she is worse than I expected on both counts.
