I don't understand why Trump doesn't push back harder on these lies. Like Biden trying to take all the credit for the Covid vaccine. Under Operation Warp Speed, funding was provided to develop vaccines, manufacture all the equipment needed to distribute it (vials, syringes, etc.) and actually administer it to patients. By the fall of 2020, all the contracts were in place at all the big pharmacies and medical providers to get the shot in peoples' arms and the medical supply manufacturing effort was well underway with 10's of millions of units sitting in warehouses just waiting for an FDA approved vaccine. Once Pfizer and Moderna got approved in December 2020 the contract options for the production, distribution and administration of the first 200 million doses of the Pfizer and the first 100 million doses of the Moderna vaccines were exercised. Pfizer, admittedly, did not take funds to develop their vaccine, but the funds to go to mass production were provided under this program. Within 3 weeks of gaining approval roughly 5 million medical professionals had already been vaccinated. When Biden walked into the White House around 64 million doses had been manufactured and distributed. The Biden administration literally had to do nothing but sit back and let the system that was in place do all the work. These are easily provable facts that Trump should be campaigning on. Instead, he lets the Dems get away with outrageous statements about his Covid response, like the bleach claim. The DUmmies like to claim that all the Covid deaths happened under Trump, even though around 70% happened after he left office. They have attempted to re-write the history so extremely that it no longer comes close to what actually happened.
This thread gives dates for the progress of and Trump Administration involvement in the development of Covid vaccines in 2020, some efforts not having been successful or timely (e.g. Sanofi and AstraZeneca, respectively),
https://www.gopbriefingroom.com/index.php/topic,412701.0.html . It was last updated January 5, 2021, so it does not include the authorization of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on February 28, 2021 or the 2022 or 2023 authorization of the Novavax vaccine. There may also be a few "dead" links.
Because of Federalism, what the Federal government could do without individual states' cooperation was having vaccine doses shipped to the states' designated locations. The states were then responsible for distribution and priority rules (e.g., when I caught Covid in January 2021, I had not been vaccinated, because under California's rules I was too young; California lowered or removed the age limit rule in March 2021). As you posted above, all the Biden Administration had to do was simply make sure there were no logistics snags and exercise on time the options for more doses that were part of the contracts Trump had negotiated with Pfizer and Moderna. Trump and his Operation Warp Speed team had organized development, testing, vaccine production support, production and purchase of necessaries like vials, syringes, and alcohol pads, logistics, and purchase contracts like the team had been chosen by someone with large-scale project management experience.
Trump did call out LIEden's starting-from-scratch no-plan lie when LIEden told it, and if Kammie & Timmie try to "go there" Trump has plenty of "ammunition" for a response.
