My 47 year old son lost the right to vote
I posted this yesterday and it was removed. I asked for an appeal and won. My son is labeled mentally disabled. My late husband and I spent thousands to go to court and be declared his guardians to make certain we had decision making control as he entered a group home. We never realized his right to vote would be revolked. We live in a (hopefully former) swing state. My son could say Bill Clinton and Obama. He is autistic. Maybe a low information voter, but…..FOX News voters vote. So, again this election, my son and his five roommates, who have so much at stake, will be unable to vote. I post for 2 reasons, that caretakers know this can happen before they appeal to become legal guardians and that we can say “weird,” we can say “deranged,” but mentally disabled is a label given to a person who was born that way and they need empathy from Democrats.

Her best defense would be to just say he votes straight democrat and can't help being labeled mentally disabled.

There is no need to worry about her son.  He'll still vote.

Here in Texas they caught a bunch of democrats going to these institutions and nursing homes and 'helping' those in need to fill them out.  They were caught red handed doing it.

No, he'll vote and she'll be very proud of the vote he and all his friends cast.

Anyone who voted for biden and will vote for Harris and walz is mentally deficient. They are voting against the best interests of the country and their best interests.

This new breed of politicians has found how easy it is to print money and dole it out to their donors to maintain power. This is destroying our country with a death of a thousand cuts. :thatsright:

My 47 year old son lost the right to vote

My son is labeled mentally disabled.

The apple of mental disability didn't fall far from the tree did it?

The "autism spectrum" - current usage - ranges from fully functional/intelligent but with social interaction issues to uncommunicative and non-functioning. What the DU OP probably omits is that the son is probably toward the uncommunicative and non-functioning end of the spectrum, to the degree that "his" votes are just his parent(s) voting, not him.

You're probably right, but he may still be mentally above the DU posting parent.
