Back in 2005 or 2009 (I think) I was doing a job search due to being laid off at a time we didn't have home Internet access for a week or two. I made sure I bought coffee, wasn't in a favored seating area, and wasn't there when the store was full, but I schlepped my laptop to a local Starchucks and spent a few hours a day every day searching for job openings and emailing my resume using their Internet connection. It wasn't my favorite job search time, but at the time finding a new job was my job, and I did what I had to without being obnoxious to Starchucks people and other customers.
Nowadays a lot of businesses have "free" Internet access. But as Karin pointed out, 2naSalit was less than truthful or lied outright in saying the cost of Internet access increased 4 times in 4 months (maybe an outright lie, or maybe a first-year introductory price period expiring, with that key detail being omitted).
