So as a follow up to my recent email about the possibility that my student loans could be forgiven.
I got an email from my student loan servicer that, officially, MY ENTIRE STUDENT LOAN BALANCE HAS BEEN FORGIVEN a $106,000 in debt is just gone. Just gone. That's it.
With that I am all but debt free. Got a small balance on a credit card I pay off regularly and car loan but that's it.

I cannot express what this feeling is like. I have been paying on and off for 28 years, with those loans hanging over my head and the balance never really going down. I am still processing this turn of events. It just melts my brain. It's also not lost on me that but for President Biden this would not have happened and he has my humble thanks and eternal gratitude.

I did make a promise to change my handle to "Happychair" but I will have to ask EarlG or someone how that would work.

Unbelievable, this makes me sick he borrowed this money 28 years ago and hasn’t paid it off. I wonder how much he borrowed what he got a degree in. And how much of the money did he spend on spring break pizza beer and pot?

Loans aren't "forgiven" dumb-ass. The debt is transferred to the rest of the country who either never had student loans (the vast majority of the country) or have already paid them off.

experience and savvy? When will you comprehend this is nothing but vote buying. None of the institutions holding these loans are cancelling or forgiving shit. The dept is transferred to people who never agreed to these loans.
These new dept holders ( that's us! ) have no choice but to pay. Yet you call Trump a dictator. Wake the f--k up.
