'Blue Collar Comedy Tour's' Ron White arrested in Vero Beach
« on: September 11, 2008, 04:33:55 AM »
Quote
VERO BEACH — Comedian Ron White has one more arrest story to use in his skits.

The Vero Beach Police Department arrested the “Blue Collar Comedy Tour” star on Wednesday on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

An anonymous tipster told Vero Beach Police detectives an airplane would be landing at 5 p.m. at the city’s airport with a passenger carrying illegal drugs, said Officer John Morrison, spokesman for the Vero Beach Police Department.

You can't fix stupid. :-)

There. Someone had to say it!

I like Ron too. Sounds like he's got a bit of a pot habit. Interesting that a "tipster" called authorities.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. They caught the Tater!    :lmao: :uhsure:

Not all that surprising that he had pot, but he's still hilarious.  This arrest will give him PLENTY of new material for his stand-up routine.  :p

I met that man on my 40th birthday.  He tried to take me and my husband "home" with him.  I think he wanted my husband more than me, I'm not lying.  He was so messed up.  I use to like him but after meeting him I can't stand to hear his voice.

Come to think of it, he did mention in one of his routines that he was pissed at a cousin of his for being a homophobe. You normally wouldn't think of him a switch-hitter, but you never know.

What BEG??? Oh my. Do tell!

The husband of one of my friends went to school and was really good friends with the comic that came out before Ron White.  The comic (I can't remember his name) got us really good tickets and then set it up for us (by us I mean a group of our husband/wife friends) to meet him at a club in down town Fort Worth after the show.  It was a super "posh" club where all the beautiful people go.  :whatever:  In this club there is a dance floor and also little areas with couches where people can sit in private.  It just so happened to be right next to the bathroom so when people would come out of the bathroom they would flip out when they saw him.  I sat right next to him.  I was there first and when he walked in he sat down right next to me.

I didn't really chat him up because I didn't want him to think I was star struck but he started asking me questions and being a little suggestive.  At first I was flattered because I thought, "wow all these women (much younger and sluttier than me) were fawning all over him (which he did seem to enjoy...a LOT) and here he was trying to be all flirty with me.  My husband was sitting next to me and couldn't really hear what he was saying but when ever he would talk to other people I would tell my husband what he was saying.  My husband is not a jealous person AT ALL and laughed when I told him the things he was saying.  Somedays I wish he were a little more jealous but then I see my friends husband who is too jealous and I'm thankful for the way my husband is.  Anyway, we got up and mingled with all of our friends then he got up and talked to people.  Then he came back over to us.  They called "last call" and he leaned over and whispered in my husbands ear that he wanted us to come back to his hotel with him.   He gave him the room number and hotel.  :o

Then he started talking about how good looking my husband was and how he would like to "do" us both.  I kid you not.  This was in front of several people.  Maybe he was kidding but I got the feeling he was serious (so did my husband).  My husband and I left and waited in the lobby with our friends for our cabs.  Out he comes again.  There are a ton of people in the lobby.  He made a comment again about us coming with him.  We acted like he was joking and all of our friends were telling us to go.  THey were drunk...very drunk.  Before we went to his show I kind of liked him...after meeting him I never want to see or hear him again.

He bought everyones drinks (that were sitting in the area) the rest of the night after he showed up and I saw him give the waitress a HUGE (I'm talking way over $1000) tip which kind of makes me not hate hate him but I really don't want to see him again.

Oh my.

That's skeevy! It's one thing to hit on you, but both of you? *Shudder* I usually give drunks a few seconds to let their brains catch up to their mouths. It sounds like he left his brain in the car.

blech...out of the four (Foxworthy, Engval, Cable Guy and him) he was always my least favorite.  He had some good one liners, but he pushed the envelope a bit sometimes on the crude meter with me.

I have been to vero beach many times.  that's where the dodgers have held spring training for about a
zillion years.  it's pretty damned hard to get arrested in vero beach, but landing with a plane full of pot
would probably do it. :-)
