Will Biden step aside?
Advertisements [?]NASHUA, New Hampshire (CNN) — Joe Biden told supporters at a town hall Wednesday afternoon that Barack Obama might have been better off choosing Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

“Make no mistake about this, Hillary Clinton is as qualified or more qualified than I am to be vice president of the United States of America. Let’s get that straight,” Biden said testily when a voter told Biden he was glad the Delaware senator had been chosen and not Clinton.

“She’s a truly close personal friend and she is qualified to be President of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be Vice President of the United States of America and quite frankly it might have been a better pick than me,” he continued.

“She’s first rate. No, I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate.”

13. I know people here love Biden...

but in all honesty he has not helped the ticket...so far he has said glowing things of Palin, now says that Hillary would have been an even better pick as a running mate than he is, and when he talks to crowds he seems lose people because he goes on and on....I love Biden but I think Obama would have done better with someone else...soemone who is more comfortable going on the attack.

23. What's wrong with this man?
you don't belittle yourself and the judgment of the head of your ticket.

Biden cannot seem to help himself from saying really dumb things. I think having to go up against a woman now is making him pretty antsy. He's trying to win back some of the PUMAs and it looks to be falling flat.

I guess being an asshole can't be overcome.  It is the old "nature or nurture" argument all over again. But the net result is the same: asshole.

Wouldn't changing the veep selection now be viewed as pandering? Let em do it. It would be the death blow.
Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

H5, But bin Laden would only be able to campaign by releasing videos and recorded statements, no debates, and no press conferences.

Even if Biden stepped down, Obama still couldn't name Hillary just for that reason.   However, maybe that meeting with Slick Willie is an attempt to see about that possibility.
