I am actually home from LA. I had a bit of a family emergency and had to terminate my deployment about 7 days early so they only got 11 days out of me this time.
I only managed to snap a few pictures down there but I thought I would post a few of them.

This was our staff shelter on the first day when it was still pretty sparsely populated and the lights and AC were still working. After the hurricane they had about 150 people packed in with no power or AC and the walls and floors were running condensation water like rivers. The sleeping bag in the foreground was my bed for 10 days. I managed to get one night in hotel lodging on a bed before they got me back home here last night.

The staff lounge/lunch room.

What used to be the church steeple at the shelter.

One of the trees around us that snapped off like match sticks during landfall. The parking lot was a bit of a mess also.
Our work desk at the headquarters building in Baton Rouge.

Some of the straight line wind damage.

A mobile feeding kitchen and the Blackhawk that touched down near it when we were doing our inspection.
I didn't shoot property damage pictures because it is not permitted, kind, or smart to snap photos of someones wrecked house while they are trying to clean up.
