"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

It is the total and complete reason for gun violence today.
The founding fathers had no idea what that would become. (It was originally enacted because there was no army or navy....

Outside of that, you're going to discover that there are a lot of us out here in flyover country who understand that the Constitution did not grant us rights, and that even revoking the whole document will not reduce, restrain, or revoke those pre-existing rights by so much as one jot or tittle.

On that note, Congress critters also write the tax laws which we attempt to abide by. However most Democrats and to be fair a good chunk of Republicans as well have never worked in business, and couldn't distinguish the difference between a balance sheet or a bed sheet.

Admittedly, you need guns for "gun violence", but that completely ignores the human element which is the real problem. To rid the world of all violence you will need to rid the world of all people and I'm sure that the libs are considering this while also excluding themselves from the process. However, at the rate libs turn on each other for even slight variations of political views I suspect total human genocide will be the inevitable outcome.
