You went from 8 years of Reagan to vote for Tank boy in 1988?

I am not buying it.

Cooooooooooool story bro.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

I voted for Nixon in 72 at age 18 and I voted for Ford in 76. I haven’t voted for a Republican at the state or national level since. Nor will I ever. I wasn’t a Republican back then. I was an ill informed dumbass.

And then you scrambled your brain on drugs and turned into a bigger, older dumbass. :loser: :loser: :lmao:
Life is tough and it’s even tougher when you’re stupid

Basking in the glow of my white Privilege and toxic masculinity while I water the Begonias with liberal tears!

I will give up my guns when the liberals give up their illegal aliens

We need a Bull Shit tax to make the Democrats go broke!

You have been elevated to massively ill informed and indoctrinated DUmbass DUchebag.

The thread isn't believable because there was no mention of John Anderson in 1980.  The Republican Rep. from Illinois who ran to the Left of Reagan and got 7% of the vote in the General, after switching to an Independent candidate.

I remember Carter backing-out of a 3-way debate, complaining it was unfair to face 'two Republicans'.  I watched it, but nothing notable came out of it because all I can remember is Reagan and Anderson talking.

I voted for Anderson, btw.  Reagan looked weak after muffing his VP-choice, with Kissinger, Lyn Nofziger, Ed Meese, et al, trying to get Gerry Ford on the ticket as a 'Co-President'.  Too bad the internet and 24-hour news weren't around then.
