During my time with TF CBRNE during the DNC I was reading a book on the European reformation.
Now, I had long ago come to the conclusion that most everything I was taught through public education is so much leftist propaganda bullshit. Among the many leftist tropes is the theory of male chauvanism. Seeing as the western worls was able to grant suffrage et al without bloodshed I assumed the answer lay in the fact that when push came to shove the so-called patriarchal capitalist theocracy wasn't as tyrannical as it was made out to be and that Christian men would grant suffrage and equal pay to their daughters and wives than forcibly oppress them.
Yet it always lingered in the back of my mind that there MUST be more was to the story. Well, I found it when I was reading my book. In one particular passge Martin Luther was extolling the male custom of assisting his wife in washing diapers and he praised the act as a simple case of Christian charity done for no other reason than to assist the wife and ease her daily burdens. Now, this was right on the cusp of the Reformation, before it came into full-swing, thus implying that the habit was well established among what moderns would call the moribund Catholic church of the day.
If so-called morally moribund Catholics can practice and refom minded protestants can praise male work within the tediums of household chores methinks the myths of modern feminisim are centered more on replacing the tried--and true--ways of western Chruistian based civilization and replacing it with progress for progress' sake into the abyss of Marxism and moral bankruptcy.
This being said I also think this DUmmies would-be talking point will be met with blinking incredulity which in turn will frustrate the DUmmie as to why the thick-headed rednecks will not accept their liberation at the hands of liberals. I have come to realize that liberals believe in gross caricatures of their opponents and the opponents are never swayed on the merits of an argument because the liberal argue from false premises. In turn the lack of desired reaction causes Marxists to label the "sheep too timid to leave its sheep-pen" as a "reactionary".
I may be as mad as the proverbial March hare but I do not think I'm too far off-base here. One thing that drove me into conservativism is the realization I had been indoctrinated with outright slander of conservatives over the years and I was very resentful of being lied to and that in turn made me curious to investigate what it was that could provoke such libel.
Do you--my fellow conservatives--feel as if this DUmmie's arguemnt would gain any traction with you only because you sek to thwart the talking point or because in your heart of hearts you cherish the role a strong woman can play in our nation's history?
