I was wrong about Joe Biden

This past week has only thrown my mistake into sharp relief.

I was never anti-Biden, but I was kind of lukewarm. I thought Joe Biden would be a faithful placeholder who could defend the gains we made under Obama and make way for the next big thing. In this, I did what Joe Biden's enemies have done their entire life, to their misfortune: I completely underestimated the man.

Joe Biden just cancelled another 9 billion dollars in student debt, kind of as an afterthought on a Wednesday. He did this in a way that is legally rock-solid and not subject to judicial review. Just like the major Pharma companies have agreed to negotiated pricing. Just like the train companies agreed to give the workers the sick leave they demanded.

We all have that picture in our head of LBJ leaning over Senator Russell, but what people forget is that Russell voted against the Civil Rights Bill LBJ was pushing him on. Leaning doesn't actually get stuff done.

Biden is a ****ing political genius, and I will fight anybody who says different.

He did this in a way that is legally rock-solid and not subject to judicial review. Just like the major Pharma companies have agreed to negotiated pricing (while giving them billions for covid vaccines ...). Just like the train companies agreed to give the workers the sick leave they demanded.

Biden is a ****ing political genius, and I will fight anybody who says different.

Ooooohhhhh internet tough guy, with a high enough post count to know he's in an echo chamber where no one dares speak against the narrative or the almighty Democrat party. 

A quick look indicates that this $9 billion in "forgiveness" is working through established programs for people who work in the public sector (teachers, police) people who are on disability, and people who have been using income based payments.  The indications I see are that these programs aren't being administered well, and all Joe is claiming to do (if anything actually happens) is getting stuff other people set up to work right, which seems unlikely. 

It's just a headline to make people think Biden is doing something great, my money says nothing or next to nothing will actually come of it, cause the programs are already labyrinths of paperwork and bureaucracy, and Biden has no clue about any of it, he's just reading his teleprompter and waiting for his pudding.

I thought joe was just another useless politician until I found out he’s the king of corruption and an angry old man.
