1. The "second US flag with red, blue, and green strips" is not a US flag, therefore no US flag was "defaced".
2. Burning US flags, trampling US flags, and crapping on US flags has been normal Prog behavior, and Progs have defended such real defacement in court, for at least 6 decades. Since when did Progs give a crap about respecting the US flag?
3. Flying other flags next to the US flag is entirely OK. Many/most states' buildings fly their state's flag next to the US flag. Often is a third or even fourth pole, for city flags or, e.g., the POW/MIA or some other cause's flag. Displayed properly, the US flag flies higher than any others. At the 10K I did yesterday, a Scout troop did a flag ceremony, with US, California, and the troop's flag (the "Star Spangled Banner" was also sung).
