Before I go on I have to admit I was really bad at paying these off for a while. In 2009 I got on a payment plan. $269 per month. For what I can best figure was a total of $15,000 that I borrowed I’ve paid back $34,000 and had $34,000 left. Not anymore. I logged into MOHELA to verify.

A couple of things:

First of all, you may be male, but you’re not a man. Men pay their debts in full. Also, men don’t vote for Democrats. And you have more estrogen than you do testosterone, which makes you a leftist, and there are no leftist that can wear the title ‘man’.

Second, you went to VCU. Might as well have gone to a local trade school since after almost 20 years you still couldn’t repay $15K. Woosy!!

By not paying a dime for years, and then making monthly payments that are lower than the interest accrued during that month. The "Miracle of Compound Interest" has downside potential, though it takes DUmbness not to realize that.
