I am not an economist, but this inflation chart shows me

that inflation was a response to a rapid escalation in spending post COVID vaccine and a push by businesses to raise prices as high as they could until consumers stopped buying.

So, normal increase after a rare economic shut down from COVID, and simple price gouging.

Not Biden bucks or BBB Bill or gas prices, supply chain or other bullshit.

Some of the replies are idiotic to the 10th degree

  We looked at renting a beach house in the fall "off season" and the daily rates were ridiculous not to mention the tacked on fees. We could afford it but for half the price we could get good hotel rooms in prime locations NYC or DC and great meals and some shows.

You can go to those places and find everything expensive beyond belief and possibly get shot or mugged for free   

There are simply other options and people will vote with their feet and take their emptyi wallets elsewhere or just stay home,

1. AFAIK, not even crazy-crazed anti-Covid-vaxxers like RFK Jr. or Snake Oil Salesman Mercola have tried to blame Bidenflation on The Vaccine.

2. More to the point, the simple explanation of "inflation" is, "Too much money chasing too few goods." Those multi-trillion $$$ "stimulus" money-dumps provided the "too much money". Meanwhile on the goods and services supply side, government shutdowns and people choosing not to return from shutdowns ensured there would be too few goods and services. Producers of goods and services are raising prices because their costs - wages and materials - have risen. E.G. DUmmies see prices at fast-food and other restaurants have risen 25% and more in 2023; DUmmies don't see (and won't admit) that restaurants' costs have risen as much or more.
