I've seen this more than a few times in my career. A practice has a few or couple docs, one of them is a total jerk and the others can't stand him, and he gets ejected.
I figure that's most likely whats goin on here. Either that, or they just didn't need a crusty old, vile dental hygienist anymore.

I'm gonna tell you what makes me so ****ing mad I'm apoplectic:
Now, before I begin, my anger and rage may be colored by the fact that this is my last day of practice after 44 years in Center City, Philadelphia. It is an extremely emotional time for me, so I’m feeling things more than I normally would, but this has been “grinding my gears” for years.
I spent my formative years largely surrounded by right wingers. Yeah, they were angry, they were self-serving, they in many cases were racist, homophobic, antisemitic, anti-everything that was involving education or betterment involving academia, but in a really crazy stupid way they had a logic to their belief system and they generally followed it, so you knew more or less what was going to be coming out of their mouths given any situation.
But things began to change, my personal recollection of the manifestation of this was the Presidential candidacy of George HW Bush, wherein an odd form of our language was utilized by individuals such as Craig Fuller and others, which I had not been exposed to before. It seemed as though any statement by a Democrat was turned on its head and vilified no matter how benign or innocuous that remark might be.
During the time since, we have evolved into the most insane, outrageous, Orwell-would-not-believe, ridiculous Constructs, which are absolutely beyond imagination. I will not exaggerate by much, but put it this way: President Biden eats corn flakes for breakfast with milk. He does not put sugar on it, thus:he is one of those health-crazed, tree-hugging, anti-American Individuals who is destroying the very fabric of America. On the other hand, President Biden eats frosted flakes for breakfast, and thus he is obviously a hypocrite and a fraud, since he is trying to bring healthcare to the masses, but is consuming sugar at “the most important meal of the day“. What a horrible individual to groom all the children into thinking that it’s OK to eat sugar first thing in the morning. Now suppose President Biden skips breakfast and just has coffee. Thus, we can now proclaim throughout the land that breakfast at school for the needy is not necessary and it’s just another one of those social welfare programs that makes Democrats feel good and try to appeal to people in the lower class is to vote for them when in fact, it’s the Republicans who are looking out for the true welfare and economic development of this group.
I utilize this example, because there is no action which is out of bounds for these pricks. The old joke that if Obama had discovered the cure for cancer, the Republicans would rail that all these pharmaceutical companies and hospital systems were losing revenue and how dare he undermine the system. (We saw the equivalent when gasoline prices came down -they blamed Biden for putting mom and pop stations at risk. )
In my older years, I literally, and I mean literally, see red when I see this stuff occurring. It is so disingenuous, positively Nazified in its conception, and has a horrifying effect upon the body politic. Going into the campaign season it is only going to get worse, and with artificial intelligence and the ability to create lies out of whole cloth, so to speak, we face potential catastrophe unless these disingenuous individuals are immediately shouted down and forced to recant. Yeah…I know.
(And I’m not ceasing working-I’m just “moving on”.)
