Warning when debating a MAGAt

If the MAGAt refuses to acknowledge a single fact you state, he’s unreachable. He’s in a cult.

1. I find that the two most effective words to use when debating a MAGAt are

**** and Off

2. I know a damaged conservative. On a recent post

of his, I agreed with about 20-25 percent. The beginning was good but the ending was anti- “woke.”

I conclude he’s reachable on a blue moon or if his wife rises from the dead.

They gave me one of the best birthdays of my life.

3. I'm an evolutionary biologist by natural inclination and some formal training.

I learned years ago that "debating" creationists is equally futile.

(Many times they are MAGAt too.)

It's like arguing with a drug addict.

If they ever quit drugs the impetus will come from within them, not from any argument you had with them.

8. I cannot imagine anything I would want to do less.

Thank god, politics never seems to come up when I'm out in my little red town.

Even in the groceries, big box stores, Tractor Supply...or any of these other places that seem to be crowded with MAGAs looking for a debate at the cashier; for some reason it's never happened to me.

I sure read a lot about these debates here, but I've no interest in getting in the mud with a pig. (An old saying that still makes sense).

13. They're not "debaters", they're villains

Don't debate. that just encourages them. SHows them you're triggered.

If you can get in a good one-liner and walk away, do that instead.

After all these years we should have SOME idea of who and what we're dealing with. It's about power, not facts.

Turner will win re-election easily. Dayton is full of rubes and Kentucky transplants. Many of the smart people moved out.

I edited out a portion of your post because I really didn't want to waste band width with it being posted again just because I had a question. What the heck is that picture all about?
I can see from picture and the rest of the post that the house still retains its late sixties charm in dark wood color and curtain décor but is that a "Billy Big Mouth Talking Bass" in his hand?   I know my eyesight is not as good as it once was and, my imagination may be lacking; but, what the heck is that he's holding?
