Farewell from Frustrated Lady

Hello friends,

This is Frustrated Lady's granddaughters. It was very important for Grandma to send a message to all of you and to let you know how much she loved this forum. Unfortunately, Frustrated Lady is in hospice care and is unable to communicate. She wanted to let you know how important it was for her to communicate with like-minded people and she truly expressed the love she had for all of you. She expressed over the weekend how important it was for her to send a final message, we wanted to make sure to fulfill that wish.

Thank you for being her dear friends and a constant support. She made us promise that we would never "switch sides and vote Republican" and we will keep that promise.

My thoughts and my prayers go out to you all during this time. Having lost my Dad in January, I know the loss you feel is tremendous and nothing we here can say can make it better. But, you remain in our thoughts during this time. We hope the best for F.L. and her family.

Being under hospice care means the patient has a good-faith diagnosis that they have less than 6 months to live. A few live months or years past that diagnosis, and their status is reviewed regularly, but doctors are not omniscient. At the other end of the spectrum, many hospice patients die within a couple of weeks of starting hospice care, sometimes literally hours. Judging by the post of Frustratedlady's granddaughters, she may be in the more brief end of that spectrum.

I do my imperfect best to disagree without being disagreeable. I pray that Frustratedlady's find comfort from each other, friends, and strangers as they live through this time of grief.

As someone who lost a parent not that long ago, I can have sympathy for the family of the dying mother.

At the same time... she was so consumed with politics as an identity, she made her children promise never to go against "the family". She made a point of doing it. It was that important to her.
