They don't think they're being cruel. They think they're being righteous AND WILL BRING A COMMUNIST UTOPIA.

They think they must CONTROL you.

But I believe some people love hurting you and they've found a UNholy excuse to do so in communist collectivism.

Has Queen of Meme kpete's shadow ever darkened the threshold of an Evangelical church's door? Let alone kpete bothered to hear what Evangelical actually teach?

On the off chance a DU-onlurker sees this and would be willing to communicate this to kpete, here's a challenge. This is the link to my church's webpage for current and recent teaching series, https://www.westgatechurch.org/current-teaching-series . I challenge kpete and onlurkers to pick a few sermons and listen. Beware the "Compassion Immersion" teachings, they may be dangerous to DU-folks' stereotypes of Evangelical churches. Then again, just seeing the lead pastor may damage DU-folks' stereotypes, :-) . FWIW, WestGate Church is conservative Baptist.

Perusing that hideous DUmp post, would give anyone the shivers. "Compassionate" Island Inhabitants tell their tales of horrors hoisted upon them by the ever evil and conniving "God" of the Chrsitian Faith. They weave stories from their childhoods, and stories from their adult lives.

Harrowing, narrowly, dodging being suckered into Church, where all their morals and values will be put on notice.

Using a bit of inductive reasoning, Queen of Meme kpete spoke specifically of people who take the Bible seriously. She did nto speak of "Fundies" or "Christians. ForgedCrank responded to her frame of reference. Based on these, I'm going to infer that ForgedCrank is somewhere in the broader Evangelical spectrum, or the observant Catholic or Orthodox spectrum, most likely the first.

Without regard for any responses (s)he might have received, yes, that is how many DU-folk view Bible-believing Christians, and won't see beyond their stereotyped image.
