Upon reflection whilst driving to work....

Last edited Thu Apr 13, 2023, 09:01 AM - Edit history (2)

I have been a practicing dentist for over 40 years, and in that time, I have rendered a tremendous amount of palliative care, emergency care, major restorative care, returned individuals to normalcy in both appearance and function, diagnosed significant health conditions, which required complex and sometimes immediate intervention by medical personnel, talked people out of suicidal behaviors and into therapy, intercepted eating disorders and gotten people back on track, counseled people for decades who were depressed and conflicted because they pursued what used to be called euphemistically “alternative lifestyles”, assisted individuals and families with members who had terminal diseases, including a huge number of AIDS victims, and generally tried to help wherever I could.

To be frank, I have been thanked literally, thousands of times, sincerely, heartily, and wonderfully by so many individuals who truly appreciated what were basically life-changing experiences and I cannot tell you with any degree of verity that there were more than five who had tears in their eyes. I do however have a U-Haul box full of Thank You cards which I have accumulated.

It is just so appalling that someone can to some extent get away with that kind of lie, outright lie, and that 98% of the people don’t throw up their hands and say “enough is enough“. This relating of this lie by Trump that multiple people were crying, and apologizing to him, is so patently outrageous that it is nearly transcendental. I suppose one would have to conclude “only in America“ could this happen. What I find additionally fascinating is that this came from a man who I am certain has never emotionally been moved to cry in his lifetime in any context at all whatsoever. He has not one whit of understanding what would make an individual cry because he himself has never experienced any such feelings or motivation.

This belongs with the “perfect“ phone call, and all his other outright lies. It’s not OK, it’s not all right, it’s not acceptable. It is psychopathology of the first order and somebody needs to say this out loud and frequently.

I wonder, has this knucklehead ever refused treatment to someone who expresses even a glint of leaning right or being a Trump supporter, or does he keep silent and take their money?
Liberals disgust me. (Now I don't have to remember to put it on each post).

Because only the left goes searching for that which is not there in a desperate attempt to be offended about something.

you're a f###ing dentist.  nobody "likes" you. they mumble under their breath about your ripoff fee scale while walking out the door.
and who the f### sends thank you letters to their dentist? I have news for you, ya arrogant, lying POS...  those aren't "thank you letters".  those are the stubs we tear off of our bills to send in with the checks and not a single damned one of us would darken your doorway if we didn't absolutely HAVE to.
In fact, I seriously doubt you are much more than a dental assistant who scrapes the gack off of my teeth once every 6 months. I'd rather shovel hog sh## than dig around in a strangers mouth ya nasty bastard.

Has Tess ever looked into this guy to make sure he is what he says he is?

Just curious..

I've no idea really.  All I know is this DUmpass spends an awful lot of time patting himself on the back and trying to convince all the other DUmmies that he is well connected and successful. You know, all the primary marks of a liar.
I know my share of successful people, and I've never heard any of of them brag about anything more than fish stories like the rest of us. They don't want to be seen as unusual, they want to fit in with their surroundings and friends for the most part. I'm certain there are those who WILL shove it down everyones throat, people like PCIngrate if they ever did manage to achieve anything prominent... but then again, I wouldn't have anything to do with the likes of someone who behaved that way.

The richest, most connected man in the county I moved to back in '88 was a good ole boy. Older guy, owned half the county but you'd never, ever know it. He wore worn out overalls, drove a piece of crap pickup and was the nicest guy you'd ever meet. You would never know how much he was worth unless you knew.

Successful people don't brag. The smartest people in the room don't let you know. Only wannabe's brag how successful they are and how smart they are, IMHO..

These insufferable posts from PC Janitor are starting to remind me of a rather mediocre sitcom that aired in the late 90's and early 2000's called "Becker" starring Ted Danson in his first TV role post-Cheers.

A description of the main character (Ted Danson/Becker) via Wikipedia:

Becker is an American sitcom television series that originally aired on CBS from November 2, 1998, to January 28, 2004, broadcasting 129 episodes. Set in the New York City borough of the Bronx, the show starred Ted Danson as John Becker, a misanthropic doctor who operates a small practice and is constantly annoyed by his patients, co-workers, and friends, and practically everything and everybody else in his world.

Pretty much describes PC Janitor, does it not?

Upon reflection whilst driving to work....

I quit reading right there and then. Two lies in six words.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Becker was pretty funny in a sardonic way.  Kind of like a well educated Al Bundy.  PCIntern seems to believe his own fertilizer, and spouts it to inflate his own ego.

You're right and didn't mean to demean it as it is a watchable show. Never watched it when it originally aired, but it is on a couple of local channels around bedtime and I'll tune in when there isn't much on these days. Was more making a comparison of the character of John Becker being an complete asshole doctor to PC Janitor.

I'd put that show on a level of similar to Wings, Just Shoot Me, The Drew Carey Show and other silly sitcoms from that era. Not even close to the wit as a Seinfeld or NewsRadio would deliver.
