I call bullshit on that

Some say indictments will help Trump. How in the hell can you say that? Do they know exactly what the details of the indictments? Anyhoo, this is just one court. Georgia and the documents loom also. I know the “LIB-rul” press wants a horse race, and Rethuglicans will try to cover their asses, but come on, man!
The sheer weight of all the ugly details should paint an alarming picture.

1. I'm With Ya!

The swing voters won't be swayed toward a guy getting arrested & the cult is already committed.
I don't see how it helps him
Oh, and he already lost twice in the PV, and 2020 wasn't close.

2. I think the reasoning is that the mere fact he has been ...

… indicted will help solidify his base to support him and defend him against a politically motivated prosecution. It really doesn’t matter to them what the indictment is for, or even whether or not he is guilty, or even whether or not he is ultimately convicted.

But these are the assholes who actually would continue to support him if he shot someone on 5th Avenue. He has them anyway, and they are an ever dwindling subset of the MAGA movement.

The indictments will not help him with the vast majority of the American voting public.

6. Win the Presidency again? Meh. Help him financially? Yep. Lead to GOP pardon platform? Yep

Trump's indictment in NY will not help, nor hurt, him win the Presidency, but it will lead to an increase in campaign donations. He has already fundraised off of it successfully and his televised press conference will be choreographed for best earning potential.

Trump has a core base of voters that other GOP candidates need to have any chance of winning. Potential GOP nominees vying for Trump's endorsement will, at a minimum, be required to commit to giving Trump a full blanket pardon.

Polls show pretty much only democrats think it's law-based and not political.
