We've had two candidates - Al Gore and John Kerry - who were CLEARLY more intelligent than their Republican opponent, and they lost (yeah, they probably didn't really lose, but the races shouldn't have even been close.)
And here again we have a close race with a Constitutional law scholar/thinker who clearly leaves his competitor in the intellectual dust, and he has to APOLOGIZE for suggesting that American students should broaden their horizons by learning a foreign language.
Is this country by and large too intellectually lazy and soundbite-oriented to understand nuance and look at the complexity of issues? It just seems like a bravado-filled slogan, no matter how false or empty it is, trumps reason every time.

I blame the idiot box known as TV.

Refresh my memory.

Who had the better grades, Kerry or Bush?   :whatever:
Let nothing trouble you,
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing;
God never changes.
Patience attains all that it strives for.
He who has God lacks nothing:
God alone suffices.

 :rotf: :rotf:

Intelligence is something you posess not something you are afforded.
If Gore had been intelligent he would have not stood in the Rose Garden the day Clinton was impeached and proclaimed him a great president.

If Kerry had been intelligent he would not have opened his acceptence speech with a salute and a declaration of "reporting for duty" knowing full well his account of his military service was riddled with errors.

If Obama were intelligent he would not have set himself up as a saviour who didn`t need to answer a tough question.
Now he is going to and he has nothing to fall back on.

Intelligent my backside. :whatever:

No, but they are STUPID enough to think they are too intelligent to be elected president.

Book learning is not intelligence, dumbshits.   And the teleptompter scripts are coming from far, far beyond and have no resemblance to what passes as "thought" in your stuttering buffoon.

Excellent summary of recent dem politicians. Kerry's claims were sure to wreck him, but what else did he have? Nothing.

Gore ran a stupid campaign, but still nearly won. We have only Elian Gonzalez to thank for having avoided a win by the Goracle. He's now showing himself to be the most conniving of the bunch. This global warming scam he has going is the most successful shakedown in recent history, rivalled only by the Y2K nonsense, but far more long lasting. He is making millions off this goofy pseudo-religion.

The damage he does to our nation will long outlive Gore, since it is being taught in schools to our children as fact that evil American industrial activity destroys "the planet". Gore had far less to do with inventing the internet than he has with "global warming".

I doubt that Obama, in his wildest dreams, will ever be able to damage America as badly as Al Gore is in the process of attempting.

As my father always said, "The easiest people to fool are those that think hey are smart."
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

This is so perfectly typical of the left. Their guys keep losing...but rather than take an honest look at WHY they lose they just say "we are too smart to win". The fact that it is a ridiculous statement on its face doesn't even occur to them. But then they are not looking for truth, they are just looking for a way to not have to admit that people don't like their socialist agenda. I love it when libs go on and on about how dumb Bush is...then I ask if he is so dumb why does he beat your guys time after time?  :thatsright:

Who's the "Constitutional law scholar/thinker"?

Obama? Yeah, and since I'm in I.T., I'm Bill Gates.

Why do I keep thinking of "Pet Rocks?"

Hmmmm has Obama released his college transcripts?   :evillaugh:

.....and while we're waiting, here's a few more.

Obama needs to also answer/respond to the following, or voters need not and WILL NOT vote for him in 60+ days:

*His Columbia Thesis paper (He says he can’t find it)

*His Harvard College records (have been sealed)

*His Selective Service Registration (not releasing it at all)

*His actual medical records (NOT his personal MD giving a statement to the press saying Obama is fit)

•His Illinois State Senate records (He claims he did NOT keep records??? )

•His Illinois State Senate schedule (He says they are lost)

*His Law practice client list (not available)

*A Certified Copy of his original Birth certificate the elongated form that shows MD signature and official seal (a COLB will not suffice)

*Any and all Harvard Law Review articles that were published (Says he never wrote anything as the PRESIDENT of Harvard Law Review, but what about BEFORE)

*His University of Chicago scholarly articles (Claims he can’t locate any)

*His Record of baptism (Says he has no record of this event)

*List of names, addresses and people connected with him during his time in New York

*His passport information regarding his Pakistan trip when he was 18 or 20 years of age

AND HIS TIES TO:

Proof that (purportedly) high intellect is not the same thing as good jugment, and of the two, good judgement is far more important in a President.
