I'm gonna guess there is probably more to this story.
My first guess would be someone got stung with a bag of weed or coke in their car.
If the story carries any truth, then kudos.  I just don't see any DUmpass doing ANYTHING "against their own best interests"

I was released from County Jail a couple of hours ago
I decided to go by my grandnieces place and drop off a few things, they are just starting out and don't make much. As I walked up to their place I saw that they were arguing so I thought I would just leave it by the front door and call them to say I had been in a hurry, after all married people argue sometimes. Just as I was setting the bags down her husband slapped her right across the face. I had always thought seeing red was just an expression but I actually remember seeing a red tinge around my vision, it is the last thing I remember. According to the police I took the door right off the frame and broke his nose, fractured his cheek and broke four ribs, I honestly don't remember any of it. I was taken to the Sheriff's station and then transferred to county jail. They made the determination there that I could be released on my own recognizance with a citation to appear in court for a charge of battery. After a short conversation with a lawyer he is pretty sure he considering the circumstances he can get the charge reduced. I did it so I have to pay the price but I am having trouble beating myself up over it after what happened.

I have been mistreated by bullies all through school until I had it and knocked the living shit out of him. That ended that.
Bullies only understand domination humiliation and pain. They should get thier shit kicked everytime they mistreat someone it would train them to keep thier asshole in check.

Anyways in my book you are a hero.
Sometimes the law can be stupid.
But its nessessary. Because of career bullies it exists because of them.

Well, if he truly can't remember any of it at all, that would be the most concerning, indicating a psychopathic condition.  "Blanking out" and doing very violent things like breaking ribs, is a cause to institutionalize.  A danger to oneself or others, DUmmie.

The defense of 'I don't remember doing anything' doesn't work in a court of law.
Witnesses and the victim testifying to the assault do wonders.
Photos of the injuries, both to the victim and the people will seal the case.

I haven't been in here in awhile, (also haven't much perused DU either), but when I saw this... I had to bring it over... then quickly saw someone beat me to it.

1. I highly doubt very much of this story is true. Ripcord was bullied his whole life (according to his own reply later) until he "stood up," I imagine this is mere fantasy. There was a "were you bullied?" thread some years back... and as I recall, it was a nothing but DUmmies whining about being picked on, and the authorities (or teachers/school admin) not doing enough to protect them. I wonder if ripcord was in that thread.

2. His "bullies only understand pain and domination.." comment, well that sounds like it is his kink. He probably pays a dominatrix to carry out this stuff, then later reverses the roles in his mind.

After Re-Reading the thread, it wasn't ripcord, it was the weird cat...thing.

I still think this is pure fantasy.

Sadly, I have seen enough of the court proceedings (real ones on Zoom, not People's Court) that these things get deferred, deferred, lowered, adjusted, then lowered to a $25 fine.

I have seen guys who are on bond with 9 or 10 charges and 5 previous convictions who cut off their ankle monitors and then did drugs, assaulted people, and then fought the police release on $500 bond ($50 to get out).  This is AFTER not showing for 4 or 5 hearings.

And this was in front of the "hard" judges.
