Is Kim Jong Il for real? The question has baffled foreign intelligence agencies for years, but a veteran Japanese expert on North Korea says the “dear leader” is actually dead — and his role is played by a double.

The expert says Kim died of diabetes in 2003 and world leaders, including Vladimir Putin of Russia and Hu Jintao of China, have been negotiating with an imposter.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

I doubt that they have been doing their own 'Moon Over Parador' - but I have noticed that when these 'the leader is dead!' stories appear that soon thereafter the leader is indeed dead. I think its a way of letting down the public gradually instead of inspiring revolt.

There were rumors for months that Castro was dead, and then quietly his brother takes over. No revolution. The same with OBL - I'm fairly confident he is also pushing up daisies or should I say poppies. And that was after many confirmed then denied reports.

I haven't seen any new believable film of Castro in about a year. Dead, prolly.

I have always, since Elvis died anyway, wanted to get hold of the general anouncment mic in some major department store, call for quiet and attention, then solomly anounce "Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building." I don't know why, I just do.
