Business for DUmmies

Have you guys run into a guy over there by the name of Mathematic?

Here we have a thread where Kraft Heinz announces a pause on its price increases (they have been pretty brutal, I won't touch them).  The DUmmies react as you'd expect.

3. At least they have actually ADMITTED

to being ******* greedy pigs

And then immediately calling for windfall profits taxes.  Like baying hounds.  Then

24. Over the last 4 quarters, kraft heinz has a 4.7% profit margin and you think thats a windfall?

As it stands, the owners of Kraft Heinz would be better off dissolving the company and investing in US Treasuries, if they could do so without the cost of liquidation. It's patently absurd to suggest they're making windfall profits.

27. Now do Exxon-Mobil, Amazon, etc. n/t

34. Amazon lost money last year, so I guess taxpayers give them a refund?

At what point do we all acknowledge that your call for windfall profits taxes on everything was poorly informed? Why do you still trust your assessment of this issue when you clearly have no idea what windfall profits are? Do you still trust the information sources that led you to believe this obviously wrong thing? Why or why not?
:lmao:

He is largely ignored.

25. IOW, the price signal continues to work.

NB, to all those in this thread that insist that Heinz ketchup is a necessity. It is not, you are not too good for Giant Eagle brand and don't tell me nobody buys that because they have a three shelves of it and it's not for show.

Heinz's pricing strategy over the last two years has been the same as it always was and always will be: it will charge what the market will bear. Charge too much and people choose substitutes, of which there are multitudes. Charge too little and they put their business in jeopardy. There does not need to exist a price where the Heinz company provides ketchup to the market. Heinz does not need to exist and ketchup does not need to be created. There is no problem here that government policy needs to address.

Blasphemy!  They really ignore him now and just brag to each other how much they've cut back on soda and stuff.

We should tax the windfall that cities, counties and states are getting from their sales and use taxes.

For example gas was at $3.20 in kalifornia when Pedo Biden was illegally installed and went up to $6.80. now at $4.50. At my moonbat city sales tax is 8.75%. So government was 28 cents/gl and then made 60 cents/gallon. AND THEY DID NOTHING TO PRODUCE, TRANSPORT, OR DELIVER THE GAS.

Now my natgas bill was $76/month 2022 and is now $196/month 2023. The city charges 6% of the bill in tax. 2022 $4.56 but in 2023 $11.76... again THEY DID NOTHING TO PRODUCE, TRANSPORT, OR DELIVER THE GAS.

Government needs to give back these windfall profi... er THEFTS.
When you are the beneficiary of someone’s kindness and generosity, it produces a sense of gratitude and community.

When you are the beneficiary of a policy that steals from someone and gives it to you in return for your vote, it produces a sense of entitlement and dependency.

Oh.. I can top that! Literally, just heard this on the local evening news about an hour ago.

NC is considering a "Happy Hour" law for Bars and Restaurants who sell Alcohol. This bill would allow the Bars and Restaurant's to adjust their prices for Happy Hour and other "Specials".

Firstly, I didnt know they couldnt adjust the price. That just seems like way to controlling. But im not in that business.

Secondly, the Bar or Restaurant will have to pay an additional $100 for the privilege! Sounds like a money grab.

Meanwhile. Im liking this Island Inhabitant, known as Mathematic. Just be careful, buddy. Tombstones and M.I.R.T. is everywhere.

Admitting he knows nothing of globalism in practice, without saying he knows nothing about globalism in practice.
