I thought this was pretty funny.  They sure have a different take on what extra work is than I do.  Probably most of us.

Slow days in clinic are nice, but...

Yesterday was so incredibly busy, I left work with a ton of paper on my desk, and another ton of work in my electronic in-box. And about ten charts still open. I skipped breakfast this morning and left for the office about fifteen minutes earlier than usual in order to tackle all that stuff before the clinic opened.

I got to the clinic and set nose to grindstone. Got most of it done. Then the clinic opened, and......quiet as a mouse. I could have saved myself a little of that trouble and still got caught up on paperwork.

Oh well; at least I'm not killing myself to get all the visits completed before the staff goes to lunch.

It's a gift. I'll take it...

Got it?  A TON of work for these folks is 15 minutes of work.

My day started at about 7 this morning. It ended about 8:15 this evening.

Now, admittingly, with my choice of profession, being self employed, and the holidays right around the corner, thats not completely normal for a Tuesday.

But seriously, 15 minutes? It worked 15 minutes over, and its all proud of itself?

I've had to wait around all day. This type of work is slow around the holidays. Luckily, the rig is all patched up and given a great bill of health.

My day started around 830 today, then I took a break for 4 hours around lunch time and cleaned up leaves in the yard one final time before the snow massacre hits.
Now I'm still working, building new storage containers and deploying a few new firewalls... 
did I mention that I'm on vacation?

I'd hate to see how this mouth breather would react when a client says that instead of two weeks from now like they'd originally said, they need your drawing package - complete with calculations - issued for Bid in two days.
