Star Member kentuck (108,266 posts)"Be there. Will be wild!"No, it wasn't New Year's Eve, the last day of the year. It wasn't on Christmas Day. It wasn't on January 20th, when Joe Biden was scheduled to be sworn in as the new president. No, it was none of those days. It was on January 6th.Coincidentally, January 6th just happened to be the day that the Electoral votes were to be certified by the Congress and the VP.Speeches were given to coincide with the meeting of the Congress. They were loud and threatening. They were inciteful, in many eyes. The date stands out. January 6th was planned to happen just as it happened. It was the culmination of several unsuccessful attempts to over-turn the 2020 election. Never mind that the majority of Republicans did very well in the election. They almost took over the Congress. Most Republicans were not unhappy with the election results. But, one was very unhappy. It was a conspiracy to over-throw the election and restore the losing side to power. Many Republicans participated in the conspiracy. It was wild!https://www.democraticunderground.com/100217456516
